Saint Mina of Egypt,
copy of an old miraculous icon in Obradovo monastery, Sofia, Bulgaria.
On the 11th of November, the Orthodox Church honors the memory of the Holy Martyr Menas (saint Mina).
He is considered the patron saint of the family, orphans and the homeless, as well as of people who have a long way to travel.
He is also revered as a saint who helps soldiers because the saint himself was a brave warrior.

The icon is hand-painted according to Byzantine tradition and style: mineral pigments, egg emulsion, and golden leaves (23.7K). Final varnish is used to cover and protect the desk in front. The back of the wooden panel is covered with dark-colored varnish.
The desk is made of natural wood. All materials used to prepare the wood for iconography are natural as well.
