Christ Pantocrator (“Ruler of All”) is one of the most revered and recognizable images in Orthodox Christianity. Traditionally placed in the prayer corner of the home or in a church, this icon reminds us of Christ’s eternal presence, wisdom, mercy, and guidance.

Each icon is painted entirely by hand in my studio following the centuries-old Byzantine iconographic tradition. The icon is created prayerfully and with profound respect for the canonical forms that generations of Orthodox iconographers have preserved.

This icon is not painted in the encaustic technique. Instead, it is created using the traditional egg tempera method, where carefully selected natural mineral pigments are mixed with a handmade egg emulsion. This historic technique has been used in Byzantine iconography for centuries and is valued for its remarkable depth of color, durability, and timeless beauty.

The halo is gilded with 23.7-karat genuine gold leaf, adding a warm, luminous brilliance that reflects light beautifully and emphasizes the sacred character of the icon.
