The icon is hand-painted according to Byzantine tradition and style. Mineral pigments and egg emulsion are used to write the icon. In front, the golden leaves (23.7K) and colors are covered with protective varnish. It preserves colors so they stay fresh. The back of the wooden panel is covered with dark-colored varnish. I could attach a fastener if you ‘d like.

Panels are entirely made of natural wood. All materials used to prepare the wood for iconography are natural as well.
