The icon is handpainted in accordance with Byzantine tradition and style. Mineral pigments and egg emulsion were used in the painting. The golden leaves and colors are protected by varnish on the front. It preserves colors, so they stay fresh. The back of the wooden panel is coated with dark varnish.

The panels are entirely made out of natural wood. The wood for iconography is prepared entirely with natural materials.
