This icon is a copy of the late 12th- early 13th cc. icon of our Lord Jesus Christ which is now in the Museum of Svaneti, Mestia

The icon is hand-painted according to Byzantine tradition and style – mineral pigments, egg emulsion, golden leaves 23.7K. Final varnish is used to cover and protect the desk in front.  The back of the wooden panel is covered with dark-colored varnish.

The Desk is  natural wood. All materials used to prepare the wood for iconography are natural as well.
